Dolphin Shopping Centre announces opening

The Swedish fashion retailer will take the former BHS unit at the largest covered shopping centre in Dorset, occupying two levels. The store will provide full ranges of women’s, men’s and childrenswear.
The Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole is pleased to announce the official opening of H&M on Wednesday August 29.
The Swedish fashion retailer will take the former BHS unit at the largest covered shopping centre in Dorset, occupying two levels. The store will provide full ranges of women’s, men’s and childrenswear.
A grand launch is planned for Wednesday August 29 at 11am, including live in-store entertainment, discount wristbands and goodie bags.
John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “The countdown has begun to the opening of H&M and we’re delighted to announce it will open its doors to customers at the end of the month.”
Legal & General reached an agreement with the Borough of Poole in 2017 to restructure the existing headlease arrangements into a single, longer lease unlocking a £26 million programme of investment. The 18-month improvement programme, currently underway, is focusing on an internal mall refresh, improvements to the open-air Falkland Square and Kingland Crescent and a redevelopment of the former Argos building to create a new nine-screen Empire cinema with four restaurants.
As part of the Dolphin’s improvement programme, new retailers have opened at the centre, including Deichmann, the German shoe retailer, Smiggle, the fashion-forward stationery brand, JD, the leading trainer and sports fashion retailer and an upgraded New Look store.
John added: “It’s been a really exciting year for the shopping centre so far, with a whole host of top brands joining the line-up of retailers. Attracting top brands to the Dolphin like H&M is really important to maintain the centre’s position as a significant attraction on the south coast for tourists and residents alike. We’re determined to significantly improve facilities to appeal to all our customers.”
