Popular garden centre group, Haskins, is celebrating after six of its Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) students have completed their training.
Haskins’ ILM students, based at the group’s Ferndown, West End and Snowhill centres, have achieved success by completing their management and leadership training, which they studied through Bournemouth and Poole College.
Marion Atherton, lecturer and course leader at Bournemouth and Poole College, commented: “It has been a pleasure to work with some of Haskins’ highly motivated staff over the past year. Whilst studying for their ILM level 2 Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills, the students have examined their leadership abilities, looked at planning work and managing change and have also undertaken some extremely valuable workplace projects to enhance the business.
“This training was culminated with some excellent presentations to the senior management team. Their growth in knowledge, commercial acumen and confidence is a tangible outcome from this course.”
Emma Farley, HR manager at Haskins Garden Centres, commented: “Progressing our staff is vital to the continued success of Haskins. Seeing them grow and develop their skills and confidence whilst further benefiting the business, is substantial. I would like to congratulate each and every one of them on completing the course.”
Haskins has centres in Ferndown in Dorset, West End in Southampton and Roundstone and Snowhill in West Sussex. For more information visit www.haskins.co.uk
